Location
We have a handful of locations that we love to shoot at with beautiful mountain views, but we also want to incorporate your personalities.
Consider activities you like to do together, like go to coffee shops, breweries, local parks that you enjoy, or your favorite mountain views.
Let us know what your vision is and we can help with location scouting. We have explored so much of the Pacific Northwest and would love to help.

Weather
In the Pacific Northwest, we know the weather can be unpredictable!
If you are hoping for a warmer, glowy shoot, let's watch the weather and plan to get those golden hour rays.
We also really enjoy the moodiness the Pacific Northwest can bring to a session. Gray, rainy days can produce some stunning, story telling moments if you are willing to embrace it. We do have a clear umbrella that can help keep you dry while we capture all the love.

Time of Day
The time of your shoot can drastically impact the overall setting of our photos. If your shoot is in the middle of the day, in direct sunlight, we will be working with harsh lighting, which produces shadows. We can often combat this by finding shade, and positioning you with the sun behind you. However, you might not get that dreamy sunlight affect you see in this photo.
The best time to get the dreamy lighting is about an hour to two before sunset, or early morning.

Outfit Planning
Your attire will drastically impact your photos. How comfortable you feel and being able to move freely are important. We want you to wear something you feel confident in!
Here are some Outfit Planning Tips!
1. Wear neutral/earthy colors that compliment each-other; like beiges, black, pastels, burnt orange, dark reds and olive greens. The key is to coordinate colors, not match!
2. Avoid rain jackets, bulky clothing, or clothing with logos/words/pictures or distracting patterns.

3. Consider your location when choosing outfits/shoes. Feel free to bring an extra pair of shoes for the walk, and a warm jacket to wear in between poses in the cold weather.
4. Decide how formal you want your photos to look. Your session is your chance to really dress it up or keep it casual.

Thoughtful Poses and Planning
We understand that being in front of the camera can be scary for some. It is our job to make sure you feel the most comfortable and choose poses that feel natural and unique to you as a couple.
We do our best to get to know you through a questionnaire before the session, so we can gauge how playful or formal you would like our photos to be.
If you feel nervous for our session, let us know! We are here for you. We can work with you on planning and preparing you with examples.
